Assessment of Research Quality of Computer Science
Assessment of Research Quality of Computer Science
CTIT and EEMCS receive highest score
Every five to six years the research of all the research groups in Computer Science in the Netherlands is assessed. The assessment is done by an international committee of well-known researchers. Luc Steels was chairman this time. The outcome is published in a QANU Report (Quality Assurance Netherlands Universities).
Both CTIT and the Faculty EEMCS are very proud that they received the predicate "very good to excellent" (the highest score given). Furthermore, three of our research groups belong to the top 10: Formal Methods and Tools, Distributed and Embedded Systems, and Databases.
The report also shows that CTIT and EEMCS have the largest number of research groups in Computer Science (covering nine different areas) and that CTIT is the largest academic ICT institute.
