Renovation Citadel building completed

The renovation of Citadel building has been completed. In two phases this building was renovated. First the section where the LISA ICT-Servicedesk is located and second the renovation of the tower.

The Citadel building has undergone a functional and technical upgrade and the entrance has been restyled. The following departments are now located in Citadel: Library, ICT Services and Archive (LISA), Centre for Educational Support’s CELT and SA&L team and Strategic Business Development department. In the near future, some departments of Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science will also be located in Citadel.

An impression of the building can be seen here. On the building’s exterior, permanent sun blinds have been installed to make Citadel a more pleasant work and study environment. Various sustainability elements have been incorporated, such as LED lighting, and connections to the Koudecirkel cooling system. The building is equipped with a heat pump and is also connected to the district heating of Ravelijn. It is therefore off the gas, which is currently an important development in cushioning our energy costs given the huge gas prices.
