InspireU: Our summer camp is an event for both international and Dutch students who haven't yet started their university careers, but are finishing up their high-school education. 


CuriousU: The CuriousU experience is a one-of-a-kind combination of a European summer school with international taste in combination with a festival, focused on Bachelor’s students in their second or last year, and entry level Master’s students.

About the Online Open Day

  • Join the sessions…The Online Open Day happens twice a year and it’s a full day of online activities to enable you to virtually explore the University of Twente and chat with students and representatives from the faculties from the comfort of your home.
    The next session will happen in November and registration will open soon.

What is an Online Open Day?

This is an opportunity to experience the University of Twente as if you were physically here for a day. In other words, you can chat to staff members, hear from students about their experience and virtually explore our campus from the comfort of your home.

How do I visit the webinar?

On the right top corner you see the JOIN DISCUSSION button. Click this button to open the webinar with group chat.

How can I participate in the Online Open Day?

It’s easy and you only need to follow these three steps:

  1. Sign up via the registration button, in the upper right corner of this page.
  2. In a few seconds you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your personalised link. Check your e-mail and your spam box.
  3. Open this link and voilà! You are ready to virtually explore the University of Twente.

What are the technical requirements?

The content on this page requires a minimum resolution of 1000px, meaning that you need to access it via a tablet or a desktop. It is also necessary to have a stable internet connection.

Which tools can I use to virtually explore the University of Twente?

Once you click on your personalized link received via e-mail, you will have access to two pages:

  1. The Online Open Day home page:
    1. Interactive map with 360° videos and pictures;
    2. Individual chat: talk to representatives from the faculties about your programme or field of interest;
    3. Overview panel discussions: check the time of each topic;
    4. Access the panel discussion page
  2. The panel discussion page:
    1. Watch specialists and students talking about topics that really matter to you;
    2. Ask your questions about any topic in the group chat;
    3. Vote for what you want to see next.

What is a panel discussion?

Teams of students and specialists are invited to talk about matters such as student life, housing, admission procedure and other topics that are important for you. By talking about their first-hand experience, they will give you an impression of what to expect once you are here. 

What is the difference between the chat on the discussions page and the chat on this page?

  • Use the chat box on this page to ask representatives from the faculties about the programmes or field you are interested in. This is a one-to-one chat room.
  • Use the chat field next to the panel discussions to ask about any topic you might want. This is a group chat room.

Can I get in get in contact with representatives from my programme of interest during the Online Open day?

Yes. Via the chat box on this page, a moderator will connect you with the faculty representative once you indicate which programme or field you are interested in.

Can I access the page and the discussions at different times?

Yes. The whole content is available from 10am to 5pm CEST. The discussions will start at 10am and 2pm. Just come by whenever you want ;)

If you need to close the pages and come back later, no worries, your personalized link will still work.

Will I be able to watch the panel discussions on another day?

No, most content and our chat teams will only be available during the Online Open Day.

What do I do if I experience any technical difficulties?

  1. Don’t panic! Try to refresh the page and check your internet connection.
  2. Notify us via the feedback tab on the home page.
