The Dutch electrical grid faces challenges, increasing both in size and in number. At the University of Twente, we research and develop new solutions to tackle these problems with sophisticated solutions. Yesterday, our colleague Gerwin Hoogsteen was interviewed for the RTV Oost broadcast 'Bij Oost'. In this interview he explains about the research we are working on and how that leads to solutions for the challenges regarding the electrical grid. The corresponding newspaper article presents some of the projects we are currently working on regarding smart charging of electric vehicles, fair distribution of solar PV production capacity and flexible control of smart heating solutions for appartment buildings. You can watch the interview via this link (13:45 onwards) and the corresponding newspaper article you can find via this link (both in Dutch).
