Within the SmoothEMS with Gridshield project we have carried out exciting research during the last 4 years. This required one key element: vast amounts of data collected at the various living labs.
However, together we stand stronger, which is why we have now made two collected datasets open access so that other researchers can also use the same data to contribute to the energy transition. Valuable data to get started as a researcher, data enthusiast, or just for anyone who gets excited about sustainable mobility!
Of course you can go through the data yourself, however we also like to invite you to our final event in Utrecht on 25 February. Here we will present what we have developed, but also engage in interactive sessions to provide you with the tools and knowledge to make most out of the lessons we learned. You can sign up for the event here: https://elaad.nl/slotevenement-smoothems-met-gridshield-op-25-februari/ .
a.s.r. parkeerdek Utrecht
The first data set consists out of 4 years of data of the a.s.r. parking lot in Utrecht! At this unique location, we have witnessed the scale-up from the first charging station to today's 300 charging stations. In total, we have over 55,000 unique charging sessions in this dataset with recorded arrival time, departure time, amount of energy charged, and the used charging station. Each session is linked to an anonymised user. This allows the behaviour of individual users to be identified with this dataset. Slimpark at the University of Twente
On a smaller scale, we ran plenty of experiments at the AmperaPark charging carport (with 9 charging poles) located at the campus of the University of Twente. Here we recorded approximately 1,700 charging sessions on a comparable basis over a 2-year period. Here, we also made the measurement data as well as results of our EMS (both the SmoothEMS part, and the tests with Gridshield) available. This includes planned energy consumption and predicted solar energy. Download here: https://data.4tu.nl/datasets/0fb5054c-0cc0-4c58-833e-fe89c8d13183/1
