The storm two weeks ago damaged the fabric of the roof on the O&O Square. The supplier has inspected the roof and advised that all the fabric should be removed and replaced. This message provides more information about the timeline and repair work.
Planning for removing the fabric
Starting Wednesday 29 January, we will start removing the existing fabric using an aerial platform. Employees and students will experience minimal disruption. The area will be cordoned off to ensure everyone can walk, cycle, and drive safely around it. These removal activities are expected to take approximately three days.
Roof repair activities
The repair is expected to take several months. The CFM maintenance Department will aim to reuse as many existing materials as possible. We expect a detailed schedule from the supplier soon for the repair work.
