At the University of Twente, we enter the new decade with a fresh vision of our unique role in society and how we intend to fulfil it: Shaping2030, the brand new mission, vision and strategy of the UT. We present it to you with gratitude for your involvement, with genuine pride – and with an invitation to help us carry it forward, and share with others how the UT aims to raise the bar and increase its impact.
A ROAD MAP TOWARD EXCITING, NEW OPPORTUNITIES
Shaping2030 is all about joining hands to grow stronger, more entrepreneurial and more effective in impacting society as ‘the ultimate people-first university of technology’. It is our road map toward exciting, new opportunities for innovation and collaboration with colleagues, private and public partners, and even with individual citizens.
With the new decade just a month old, we have already begun to deliver on the ambitions presented in Shaping2030. Together with our faculties, institutes and service departments, we are currently preparing an Implementation Plan, in which we outline how we will get to work on realizing the new strategy. In this plan, we will collect every initiative and activity relevant to Shaping2030.
A DOUBLE INVITATION TO SHAPE THE FUTURE TOGETHER
Do you realize that together we are co-shapers of society, and that you are among the UT’s most important ambassadors? In that light, we offer two invitations:
1. Please email us to let us know how you believe we can implement the strategy outlined in Shaping 2030, so that we can include your ideas in the Implementation Plan.
2. Please make maximum use of our Shaping2030 communication tools to get a quick grasp of its full intent and to share it with others. The toolset includes a visual, an online brochure and a PowerPoint presentation. Feel free to use these to spread the word and fuel your own initiatives. Need more info?
