Appèl Food Concepts to rotate as of 7 January

On Monday 7 January, the currently rotating food concepts in the canteens will be replaced with new ones. Preparations are to take place in the week of 2 January. We invite you to discover the new concepts on Thursday 10 January, between 12.15 and 13.00, during a tasting session in the terrace area of the Waaier.

Appèl has been providing the catering in the University of Twente’s various canteens, and the banqueting since July 2018. Most buildings have a standard range of products: the food concepts The Bakery, Coffee & Co, Greens and Stock ‘n’ Broth. There are also food concepts that change every few months. Some concepts will return at a different location, others are, sometimes temporarily, removed from the range. New food concepts are also being introduced. The first rotation will take place on 7 January 2019.

Would you like to know which new concepts are arriving where? In Spiegel, you will be able to enjoy the concept Break a l'egg from 7 January. If you can’t get enough of the Happy Asia concept, as featured earlier in Spiegel, join us at Waaier, where we are also launching the Hieper de Pieper (Tasty Taters) concept. Horst will feature the Croquettes concept, as well as the Get Toasted and Bliss Bowls concepts.

Get a taste of the concepts: Thursday 10 January, 12.15-13.00

On Thursday 10 January, from 12.15 to 13.00, you can come and try our new concepts in the terrace area of the Waaier! Please take the opportunity to taste all manner of small dishes from the new concepts.

Find out more about the concepts and win prizes by participating in the UT Lunch Marathon. By taking a picture of each new concept, you could win a Golden Ticket! There are fabulous prizes to be won, such as a lunch, free product/coffee with a treat. To participate:

1. Visit the new rotating food concepts and perform the activities on site. The assignments can be found on site.
   1. Full participation ticket: submit the unique complete code + Happy Asia selfie via the web form on www.utwente.nl/ut-lunchmarathon. Do this before 16 February. The order of the code does not matter. The first 25 students have a chance to win a Golden Ticket.
   2. Full participation Shout: take a selfie with your favourite food concept and share this with the hashtag #utlunchmarathon. Earn extra points for sharing the code (see under a) via the Shout app as well.
2. Appèl will email the winner with an invitation to pick up the Golden Ticket.
