About the campus

The campus of the University of Twente is located on the outskirts of Enschede, at fifteen minutes cycling from the city centre.

2000 researchers and 10,000 students are working and studying at the campus. All education and research buildings can be found here. Next to that, the campus has student residences and staff accommodation, sports fieldsshopsconference and meeting centres, a pub and a library. In short: it has everything a university needs.

The area is freely accessible. Outside business hours, only the Vrijhof - the cultural centre with its theatre halls and library - and the Sports Centre are open.

Use the tabs at the top of this page to find out more about the campus, such as contact information and information on accessibility. You can also find images and videos that can be freely used for publications related to the campus or the UT. In addition, About the Campus offers an overview of and more information on the most important buildings on the campus, and our internal regulations. Next to that you can read how you can learn more about the campus online or on the spot, by doing a guided tour. If you want to rent a room you can contact the booking office for pricing and availability
