We’re excited to announce upcoming improvements to the participant pages in TIIM, designed to give researchers significantly more insight into study progress and participant behavior.
What’s Changing?
The new participant page will include:
- Progress at a Glance: Clear visual indicators of module and ESM completion (e.g., 2/7 completed).
- Activity Overview: Last active time, sensor data status (when applicable), and module-by-module breakdown.
- Flowchart View: A detailed visual history of each participant’s journey through the study—see when modules were sent, answered, skipped, or reminders triggered.
- ESM Details: For ESM modules, researchers can open a pop-up showing all iterations and whether they were answered or missed.
- Warnings When Moving Participants: Researchers will now receive warnings when trying to move participants between interventions, especially after data collection has begun, to prevent data loss and inconsistencies.
Why this matters?
We hope the new update will enable reserachers to timely intervene when participants fall behind and support participant retention by making monitoring easier and more actionable. In addition, this update will increase data reliability by resolving inconsistencies caused by moving participants between interventions.
