13 t/m 15 december 2017: PhD-symposium Healthcare logistics: Balancing between practice and theory
Van 13 tot 15 december 2017 organiseerde CHOIR het 3-daagse symposium "Healthcare logistics: Balancing between practice and theory" op de Universiteit Twente.
Op woensdag 13 december startten we het symposium rondom het thema “Planning van diagnostiek en behandeling van kankerpatiënten”. Een keur aan onderwerpen kwam aan bod via duo-presentaties, waarin de uitdaging in de zorg wordt gekoppeld aan logistiek inzicht vanuit het operations management perspectief. Zo stonden recent wetenschappelijke onderzoek en de toepassing in de praktijk centraal.
Op donderdag 14 december vervolgden we het symposium met presentaties over de logistiek van verzamelen en bewaren van bloed, waarna deze dag werd afgesloten met de verdediging door Sem van Brummelen van zijn proefschrift getiteld Bloody fast blood collection.
Vrijdag 15 december waren presentaties gepland rond het algemene thema logistiek voor de gezondheidszorg gevolgd door de verdediging door Gréanne Leeftink van haar proefschrift getiteld Why wait? Organizing Integrated Processes in Cancer Care.
Deze dag staat in het teken van de inrichting van zorgprocessen in de kankerzorg, en is getiteld: "Planning van diagnostiek en behandeling van kankerpatiënten". Een gevarieerde mix van presentaties, waarin een presentatie uit de praktijk is gekoppeld aan een presentatie vanuit de wiskunde, staat op het programma. Het voorlopige programma is als volgt:
