Wesley van den Beld, Michel de Jong & Jeroen Vollenbroek receive grant 'Innovate and Share it EEMCS 2023' Student assessment in Problem Based Learning (PBL) courses

Wesley van den Beld (XUV OPTICS, faculty Applied Physics), Michel de Jong (NE, faculty EEMCS) & Jeroen Vollenbroek (BIOS, faculty EEMCS) have been awarded the grant of the call 'Innovate and share it EEMCS 2023'.

The grant for the call ‘Innovate and share it 2023' is provided by the Quality Agreements budget of EEMCS (WSV).

Student assessment in Problem Based Learning (PBL) courses

Wesley van den Beld, Michel de Jong and Jeroen Vollenbroek will be working on “Student assessment in Problem Based Learning (PBL) courses”

The project entails implementation of a scalable oral examination method in combination with peer- and self review to bring the assessment in line with the student-centered PBL educational method used in the courses. Within this the aim is to increase student participation, motivation and effectiveness, by implementing a peer- and self-assessment strategy.
