The International Student Hub is a weekly informal meeting for all international students who are new to the Netherlands and are looking for a place to meet other international students. Many media reports in the media show us that there is a kind of pandemic of stress and low well-being among students and the general population as well. But what is well-being and what is it good for? If we 'just treat each other normally', as one teacher once proposed as his 'solution' to low wellbeing among students, can't we just be happy in our work and personal lives?
In this lecture, Dr. Ed de Bruin will discuss what well-being is, what can go wrong and right with it, and what we can do to support or improve well-being.

- WED - Bootcamp

Location: Main entrance of Sport CentreBalancing your study, mental & physical health, social activities and perhaps a job can be quite a challenge sometimes. Are you ready to take a short break, enjoy the outside while you get a good workout in?
Join us for a free bootcamp training! During the bootcamp training you will build your stamina, get a good sweat and the best part, the workshop is given outside!
We will gather at the main entrance of the sport centre. Be sure to wear comfortable sports clothing. The workshop will be given by Gerwin from The Battle Continues.
- THU - Relaxing with Dogs
Date: 5th of June

Location: TBDAre you ready for a break? To get rid of some stress?
Spending some time with the specially trained dogs from Dogswork is a great way to take a small break in your busy day.You will get an explanation on how to handle the dogs and then do a fun exercise with them outside. Happy feelings and smiles guaranteed!
- THU - Rescue Swimming

Location: Indoor Swimming Pool Sport CentreThe sun is shining once again, and with that it's time for everyone's favourite pastime: The Pool!
But what if you or one of your friends gets a cramp? Or stumbles into the water after enjoying the pool party bar a bit too much? For that, we have lifesaving! In this workshop, you'll learn all the basic skills to feel safe like a fish in the water, and get a nice workout next to it.
The workshop will be given by Piranha Lifeguarding branch. Be sure to pack your swimming outfit and sign up now! The workshop will be given at the inside pool of the Sport Centre.
- FRI - Therapeutic Boxing
Date: 6th of June

Location: LogicaThis boxing workshop is not just any boxing workshop. You will not only get in some movement, but you will also train your perseverance and focus and learn how to set boundaries, with the help of boxing movements.
The two coaches giving this workshop will teach you how to train your physical and mental perseverance. They will help you to recognize and set your physical and emotional boundaries. And lastly, they will teach you how to consciously aim your focus, which can also help you while studying.

- TUE - Resuscitation Course
Date: 10th of June
Time: 12:00 - 15:00
Location: LogicaDo you want to be ready in case of an emergency? Do you know what you should do when someone stops breathing? Learn how to do CPR in this resuscitation course.
The course takes three hours and at the end you will receive a certificate.You will need to complete a short online e-learning before you can participate in this workshop. Be sure to sign up at least three days in advance, so you have time to follow this short e-learning.

- THU - Bystander Intervention Workshop
Date: 12th of June

Location: CR 2HWhat do you do when you see (sexual) harassment happening? Do you look away? Or do you take action? In the Bystander Intervention training from Fairspace, you will learn what harassment entails and what its impact is. You will also learn more about the 5D method: five ways for bystanders to safely intervene. Wherever you are.
Harassment can be a difficult topic to talk about. But creating a space environment is something we do together. Come join the Bystander intervention training to find ways you can act, in a way that you feel comfortable with.Anyone can join this workshop, together or with a friend. If you are part of a board or confidentiality/trust committee of an association, this workshop will be especially valuable for you!

In the training, you’ll learn what harassment is, its impact, and how to safely intervene using the 5D method. Creating a safe environment is a shared responsibility.

How is your lifestyle?
Make your own choices when it comes to your lifestyle and decide what is important to you. Take good care of yourself and learn to take control of your own well-being. During the lifestyle check, any potential health risks can be identified at an early stage.The check (15 minutes) will take place at the Sports Centre and is carried out by a lifestyle coach from Topvorm Twente. It includes a physical examination with various measurements, such as blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol. You will also complete two questionnaires, which will form the basis for a conversation with a lifestyle coach. During this discussion, you will receive personalized advice about your lifestyle.

Or do you want to know more about what the student psychologists can do for you? Just drop by, no appointment needed! Our walk-in consultation is specifically for short, informal conversations – not treatment, but a listening ear and advice. The consultation can be in English and Dutch.

Time per student: Maximum of 15 minutes
Privacy: If the psychologist is in a session, the living room door will be closed.
