Every three years, the German Rubber Conference is held in Nuremberg. Attached to the conference is a fair, one of the biggest worldwide. Besides scientific presentations and chairing session at the conference, ETE also had a booth at this fair for the first time. The group introduced itself and the R&D work to a wider scientific, academic and industrial audience. Many new contacts were established, as leads for future co-operations. Besides, the students who staffed the booth, gained valuable experience as ambassadors of elastomer research, as representatives of our university and ETE, as contact persons for their own research but as well for other topics of ETE. The presence of ETE even caught attention of the media, with an interview at the booth with focus on the students gaining their first experience at such an event.
