Fabian Grunert nominated for the LANXESS Talent Award

On July 6th and 7th, 2017 the DWI – Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials will host the 4th DWI/RWTH Aachen Summer School, sponsored by the LANXESS Deutschland GmbH. PhD students being in the last phase of their thesis from Germany and neighboring countries are invited to attend this event in the frame of a poster session and a lecture event. They were suggested and encouraged by their supervisors to apply for the LANXESS Talent Award. This price will be given in two fields, “Advances in Polymer Materials” as well as “Innovations in Process Engineering”. 10 Finalists were selected and invited from all applicants to introduce their work in the lecture event, 5 in each category. This will give them the opportunity to present their work to scientists and experts from the industry. Additionally, the Aachen Summer School includes an outstanding poster session in this programme, to give further PhD students the possibility to present the content of their thesis.

We are very happy to announce that one of our PhD students, Fabian Grunert was nominated as of the top five in the category of “Innovations in Process Engineering”. Moreover, Masaki Sato, a further ETE student, was invited to present a poster. Both Fabian and Masaki will present their work on July 7th. We wish both of them much success!
