Congratulations to Doina Bucur, who was part of the interdisciplinary team awarded funding for their project proposal: “DECIDE – Democratizing AI: Empowering Citizens through Transparent Decision.”
The project brings together nearly 50 researchers from 10 universities across a wide range of disciplines – including computer science, philosophy, ethics, psychology, law, public administration, and more.
The DECIDE project addresses a growing challenge in our digital society: citizens are increasingly impacted by decisions made with the help of AI systems — in domains such as public services, healthcare, and insurance — often without clear explanation or accountability.
