Former DACS member, Jessica Steinberger along with Anna Sperotto and Aiko Pras have won the Best Dissertation Award at the 2020 IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2020).
Jessica conducted her thesis in collaboration with the University of Applied Science Darmstadt and obtained her PhD at DACS in September 2018 with the thesis “Distributed DDoS defense: A collaborative approach at internet scale”. For her thesis, she was also awarded the prize for outstanding theses by Fachbereichstag Informatik (link to the award page).
