Dr.ir. Mattijs Jonker featured in NRC newspaper article on DDOS

We are happy to be able to share that our colleague dr.ir. Mattijs Jonker has made key contributions to an article in NRC, one of the Netherlands' leading quality newspapers

At the end of April 2025, the Netherlands news organization NRC was attacked. The website nrc.nl was hard to impossible to reach for a full day as the result of a sizable Distributed Denial-of-Service attack. Two investigative journalists of NRC set out to investigate the DDoS attack on their own company and worked with Mattijs to get an academic perspective. Mattijs dug into the data and provided a number of key insights about the attack. He was also interviewed for the article, alongside experts from industry and government.
