The European Commission has commissioned a Revision of the ECTS Users’ Guide. To support the revision it is important to hear of its users.
The revision is supported by gathering a wide variety of views on the usefulness and potential areas for improvement of the ECTS Users’ Guide. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts on its contents and application. You may find the survey through this link here.
About ECTS
The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a tool of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and is used for higher education programmes in all EHEA countries. This system serves as a basis for organising studies in a way that puts the learner at the centre, basing credit on the achievement of learning outcomes linked to indications of the study time needed by the learner to achieve them. By using a common system, learning achieved in European higher education institutions can be easily documented in a way understood by others, and recognition of achievement during mobility or at the completion of studies is facilitated, further enhancing the quality of higher education. The ECTS Users’ Guide offers guidelines for implementing ECTS and links to useful supporting documents.
Your views are crucial to inform the ongoing review of the ECTS Users’ Guide, conducted by the Bologna Follow-up Group through an Ad Hoc Advisory Group Chaired by the European Commission.
