Participation@UT: stand as a candidate for 2025!

Employee and student participation is highly valued at the University of Twente.  Through participation, you have a direct influence on the university's policies, so do your bit and stand for election. You can stand as a candidate until 5pm on Wednesday 16 April 2024 at the latest.

How do I stand as a candidate?

To stand as a candidate, join one of the existing parties or start a new party with its own list.

You can apply to the University Council or to your own faculty or service council, with a minimum of 1 candidate and a maximum of 15 candidates. The candidacy must be supported by 5 signatures of voters who do not stand as candidates themselves.

Participation@UT

Different levels within the UT have their own form of participation: from the democratically elected, organisation-wide University Council to the faculty and service councils. In each of these bodies, you can exert influence in a different way.

Voters' register

The electoral registers of the University Council and the various faculty and service boards have now been inspected and approved. Information can be found on the respective council's website.

Go to the employee participation website for more information on employee participation at UT, University Council elections, faculty councils and service councils.
