Get ready for an exciting event focused on neurodiversity! On Thursday, October 17th, 2024, the PhD & EngD association of the University of Twente (P-Nut) will host Minds of All Kinds, a co-creation brainstorming session aimed at making our campus more inclusive for neurodiverse individuals. Neurodiversity celebrates the idea that people experience and interact with the world in different ways, and that these differences should be valued, not stigmatized.
A special highlight of the event will be a keynote speech by Lieutenant-Colonel Marc van der Burgh of the Dutch National Army, who has received awards for his work in making the army more inclusive for neurodiverse individuals. His inspiring talk will kick off the event and set the tone for discussions on how the University of Twente can also embrace and support neurodiversity.
Minds of All Kinds will bring together students, staff, and their families or acquaintances to brainstorm ideas on how to make the university more neurodiversity-friendly. Topics will include everything from course materials and building design to HR policies and ambassador programs.
P-Nut is also looking for help! They need moderators for the discussions and are searching for a paid student assistant to support future events. If you’re interested in getting involved or have ideas for discussion topics, please fill out the online questionnaire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of inclusivity at the University of Twente. Don’t miss out on being part of this important initiative!
