Meet our new student assessor Chris van den Heuvel:
"I am a fourth-year IBA student and the student assessor of BMS. I applied for this position to increase my impact on student life here at the UT. My new role is a great way to achieve that. As student assessor, it is my job to provide a student perspective in decision-making within the faculty. I serve as a bridge between students and the Faculty (Board), offering input on topics ranging from internationalization to quality assurance, and many more.
improve study experience
For this year, I want to improve the study experience of BMS students. This means I will be actively participating in various meetings throughout the year and engaging in discussions. I also serve as the first point of contact for staff members seeking student perspectives. In addition to providing input on education, my personal project involves improving study facilities. The ability to study and socialize with other students on campus outside of lectures is often overlooked but is an essential part of student life.
Input students
To gather qualitative student input on these matters, I will maintain close contact with the study associations to collect feedback, which I can then bring to the faculty. You can assist in providing this student input either through your study association or by reaching out to me at c.j.b.vandenheuvel@utwente.nl."
