Appèl canteens
You can visit several of Appèl canteens in the UT buildings. Below you can read a brief description of the products on offer at each canteen.
Café, restaurant and meeting point. On weekdays, you start your day with coffee from 9:00 in the morning and freshly made sandwiches and soups are available between 12.00 and 15.00. In the afternoon, the venue transforms into a cosy regular café where many drinks are organised. After 17.00, you can also still your appetite there with an Italian à la carte menu and enjoy cold starters, pastas and pizzas.
Hot favourites are: ravioli ricotta spinaci and pizza quattro verdura.
The kitchen of the Theatre Café is open on weekdays from 9.00 to 20.00
The Ravelijn canteen is famous because of there delicious paninis! From 10.00, this is a popular lunch spot where the smell of Italian herbs and melted cheese welcomes you. Besides paninis, you can also buy freshly made sandwiches, soup, coffee and sweets here. A definite favourite place on campus.
Favourite paninis are panini hot chicken and caprese.
Ravelijn is open on weekdays from 10.00-14.00
Lemons & Beans combines healthy and sustainable products (Lemons) and optimal coffee service (Beans). The entirely menu is vegetarian. The range is set up for grab & go, which means you will be served quickly.
Favourite sandwiches: omelette and hummus.

Need a refresher during the day? Visit the Horst canteen during the day for a good cup of coffee and sweet treats made with love by our baristas. From 12.00, you will also find fresh sandwiches, soups, salads, snacks and hot meals. Even if you are a vegetarian or vegan, you have plenty of choice at the Horst canteen!

Horst is open on weekdays from 9.00 to 15.00
The largest location where you can recharge and have your break is at restaurant De Waaier. From 9.00 to 15.00 this is the place to go for coffee and sweets. As of 12.00 you can also get a freshly made sandwich, a bowl of soup and/or a tasty snack there. Of course, vega and vegan options are also available. Do you fancy a hot meal? Try the hot meal menu. Wednesdays is the famous French fries day.
Favourite sandwiches: mozzarella tomato, meatball and pulled chicken.
Restaurant 'De Waaier' is open on weekdays from 9.00 to 18.30 (Fridays until 18.00).
''Pure is perfect''
BrownieS&downieS stands for pure. Pure in all its aspects. Our employees are sincere, enthusiastic and pure. But we also consider the products we use to prepare our lunch dishes to be pure. The combination of our great employees and delicious dishes makes a visit to Brownies&downieS a real experience. In addition to our lunch dishes, we are also known for our delicious brownies, which are a must-try.

Frosty's en Subway on campus
Carlos and his team serve the tastiest sandwiches and ice cream on campus.
SUBWAY
In the cosy Bastille building, you can make your own delicious fresh sandwiches. You can also go there for a well-filled wrap or a healthy salad. The choice is endless from different types of sandwiches, meats and fish. They also offer a wide range of vegetarian and vegan meals.
Subway is open Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 19.00 and on Saturday from 10.00 to 15.00.
FROSTY’S
Frosty's, the ice cream shop, is located on the boulevard side of the Bastille building. The ice cream sold there is entirely vegan. This is a nice addition for those making more conscious food choices. Frosty's has a wide range of flavours. Carlos and his team provide a deliciously refreshing ice cream on a warm day. During the colder months, the ice cream is being replaced by delicious poké bowls. Customers can select their own pokébowl for a fixed price.
From spring to autumn, Frosty's is open Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 19.00 and on Saturdays from 10.00 to 15.00. In the winter months, Frosty's is open only on weekdays.
Starbucks
Whether you prefer a classic cappuccino, a great breakfast sandwich or a sweet white mocha, you are always welcome at Starbucks! We serve amazing coffees, with infinitely combinable flavours, fresh sandwiches, delicious pastries and of course a great ambience to relax, study or meet up with some friends! The café can be found at the Educafé in the Zilvering building. Will you come and visit us?
