It is important to understand that every case is assessed individually, and this information is not a guarantee. So, make sure to submit your application on time to find out if you are exempted or not. If you still need to take an additional English language test, you will need time to arrange it.

Please note that individual requests for waivers outside the stated exceptions cannot be considered, as the University of Twente does not offer English waivers.
Make sure to answer the follow-up questions after selecting your country. Selecting your country alone does not automatically entitle you to an exemption, as it forms only one part of the overall assessment.
If you have a relevant bachelor’s or master's degree from a Dutch accredited academic institution, you might be exempt. Make sure your programme is accredited via the NVAO register.
Note: Business Administration master’s students with a Dutch degree may have extra English requirements.
You might be exempt if you obtained a degree in one of the exempt countries and studied there in person for at least three years. The three years may be accumulated across multiple higher education qualifications.
Applicants who have completed a master's degree of at least one academic year in one of the exempt countries may also qualify for an exemption.
Please note: the entire duration of the qualifying programme(s) must have been completed in person in an exempt country. If your teaching institution was not located in one of these countries, or if you followed distance (online) education, an additional English language test is required. For degrees obtained in Canada, at least 50% of the programme must have been taught in English.
The duration refers to the official length of the programme, not the actual time taken to complete it.
