Over three intense days, the DesignLab played host to a dynamic fusion of art, technology, and performance. The theme 'METAORGANISM' led to a captivating collaboration between invited artists, exploring the boundaries of identity through AI voice, wearable robotics, and interactive technologies.
A behind-the-scenes glimpse into our pressure cooker reveals the magic of rapid ideation and experimentation. Artists, dancers, singers, and creators collaborated to craft performances that transcend individual identities, merging voices and bodies in metaorganismic forms.
The performances, born from this creative workshop, transformed the DesignLab into a performance art laboratory. METAORGANISM, inspired by life sciences, prompted a shift in perceptions of 'self' and 'other,' exploring the cosmos of interconnected beings.
A heartfelt thank you to Jonathan Reus, our 2023 artist-in-residence, the Campus Art Advisory Committee (CAAC), and our talented artists and participants for making this immersive experience possible!
Stay tuned for more exciting collaborations at the intersection of art and technology!
