In the past, we've all used boring passwords like "password1" or "1234", but now it's time to be more serious about our online security. Fortunately, you can soon participate in an online training on this topic, where you'll get useful tips on creating strong passwords and how to remember them.
When hackers gain access to our personal information and accounts, it can lead to identity theft and financial loss. This applies not only to individuals but also to organizations like universities. When a hacker gains access to an employee's or student's account, they can also access all the organization's data and research. This is something we want to prevent.
The good news is that it will no longer be mandatory to change your password annually at UT. In recent years, we have taken new security measures, making it sufficient to adjust your password once according to the new guideline (at least 14 characters).
