On May 1 Robin Buter will start as a PhD candidate at IEBIS and CHOIR. He received his master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management at the University of Twente last November.
Robin: “ The research project I will be working on is about strategic location of publicly-accessible AEDs. One of the main challenges is to include both demand and supply uncertainty (e.g., responding volunteers) in the optimization models. Derya Demirtas wrote this research proposal and will supervise me during this project. We will collaborate with Amsterdam UMC (AMC) and other organizations to apply our models to real data.
