In November of this year, CHOIR’s first large scale project “LogiDOC” (Logistical Design for Optimal Care) will come to an end. This project was funded by Technology Foundation STW, and co-funded by ORTEC and University of Twente. It allowed 5 PhD candidates to do a research project within hospitals in the Netherlands: Peter Vanberkel (NKI), Theresia van Essen (HagaZiekenhuis), Peter Hulshof (Reinier de Graaf), Nikky Kortbeek (AMC), and Egbert van der Veen (ORTEC). The project has resulted in a huge number of publications, awards, and has had a great impact on the collaborating hospitals. It really kick-started the CHOIR research group at University of Twente. This presentation will give an overview of the results of this project.
