BMS continues the BMS Open Access fund, effective as of 1 January 2025, and available (if not depleted) until the end of 2025!
BMS stimulates Open Science, as from 2019 the Faculty Board of BMS made OA funds available. The BMS Open Access fund 2025 is available. Noting, however, that funds could be depleted before the end of the year. As we noticed an increase in APCs, we decided to also raise the reimbursement for book chapters to € 2000,-.
BMS will reimburse (partly) publication costs for (high-quality) open-access journal articles or books/book chapters accepted in the period January-December 2025. Reimbursement depends on the criteria (see above link) and needs to be requested and paid by the section first before the end of 2025.
Last year we made improvements in requesting the fund, this has worked out well. Resulting in complete applications and quick checks if the fund is the most suitable funding option to your situation. Therefore, we continue to work with 2 forms to keep it clear also for the information specialists and the necessary criteria and settlement of granting the fund. A 'preliminary checks/question' form and a 'final request form' (when all criteria can be answered), forms can be easily filled out online and will be automatically sent to the information specialists.
