Meet & Greet Street
The Meet&Greet Street, or M&G for short, is a project to tackle student loneliness and depression as a result of the way that COVID-19 has changed the way we humans interact. Standing tables are set up at different locations on campus, often decorated to a theme inspired by the time of year. On these tables, you can find question cards (in English and Dutch), some instructions and when you’re lucky, some sweets too! We encourage people who see this and are feeling brave enough to approach the table and meet someone new. They have the opportunity to find out interesting things that aren’t often shared when first meeting someone.
Some things you might find on a question card include:
- “How long would you survive a zombie apocalypse?”
- “If you could have a soundtrack for your life, what would it be?”
- “Do you think human suffering is necessary? Why or why not?”
Our goal is to increase the number of friendly faces and pleasant moments shared on campus. If you have any ideas to share, feedback to give, or would like to collaborate with us, please contact a member of the team!
