Cryogenic pool boiling work features in Physics World

Cryogenic pool boiling is gaining interest in process industry, to name a few, in areas such as material processing, freezing in food and pharma industry and in sample preparation for cryogenic microscopy. In this area, the main interest is in understanding the transient liquid-vapour phase transition as elaborated here. Our work on cooling of insulated metals in saturated and subcooled liquid nitrogen appeared in a news feature in Physics World.
