Dave Blank Outreach AwardThis year's Dave Blank Outreach Award went to Srinivas Vanapalli for his outstanding contribution to profile cryogenics research and technology developments to the general public, high school students and industry. This award was presented on the annual MESA+ day event on 21 September 2020 at University of Twente.Read more
Cryogenic pool boiling work features in Physics WorldCryogenic pool boiling is gaining interest in process industry, to name a few, in areas such as material processing, freezing in food and pharma industry and in sample preparation for cryogenic microscopy. In this area, the main interest is in understanding the transient liquid-vapour phase transition as elaborated here. Our work on cooling of insulated metals in saturated and subcooled liquid nitrogen appeared in a news feature in Physics World.Read more
