Peter van Es won the "Best Poster" award
December 1st 2014: Peter van Es has won a Poster award at the MIRA day on the 27th of November. During the event, which took place at the Hatrans Lounge of the Grolsch Veste stadium, he received a price of 250 euro.
NEW PUBLICATIONS
Several exciting papers got published in the last few months.
BMPI welcomes three new members
June 6th, 2014 - BMPI welcomes three new members: Colin Veenstra , Sjoukje Schoustra and Ivo van der Lugt .Colin and Sjoukje are Master students and Ivo is a Bachelor student. All are studying Biomedical Engineering at University Of Twente.
In coming months, Colin will investigate about the absorption coefficient measurement using integrating sphere. Sjoukje's research will be focussed on second version of Photoacoustic Mammoscope [PAM2] and initial clinical measurements. Ivo's bachelor assignment is aiming at identifying and reducing motion artefacts in LASCA [ Laser Speckle Contrast Analysis] measurements.
BMPI wish them good luck with their assignments!!
Michelle Heijblom receives doctorate
Michelle Heijblom successfully defended her PhD thesis on 23 April 2014 entitled “Clinical experiences with Photoacoustic Breast Imaging: The appearance of suspicious lesions"
Paper in Nature Communications
A collaboration between BMPI, POF, Philips and EMC has resulted in a paper in the prestigious journal Nature Communications.
Srirang Manohar wins Decentrale onderwijsprjis - BMT
Srirang Manohar was selected as the best teacher in the study Biomedical Technology for 2013.

Several papers on exciting work in the BMPI have been published.
BMPI welcomes master students Guus and Berkan!
December 10th, 2012 - BMPI welcomes two new master students: Guus van Raaphorst and Berkan Basel. Both are students Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente. Their assignment in BMPI is the last hurdle before obtaining their degree of MSc. Although they will work in the same group, the assignments of the two students are completely different.
