30 July 'Nightbutterflynight' KNVV at University of Twente

The Dutch Society for Field Biology (KNVV) will organize a ‘Nachtvlindernacht’ (Nightbutterflynight) on the campus of the University of Twente on Friday, July 30. From 21:15 to 24:00 everyone is welcome to spot and list bufferflies together with the experts of the KNVV. Participation is free, a voluntary donation is welcome. More information can be found on the website of the KNVV (in Dutch).

The Nightbutterflynight is part of an inventory of the biodiversity on campus, which the KNVV is working on at the request of the SEE programme of the University of Twente. The result of the inventory will be used by the UT as input for looking at possible measures to maintain or increase biodiversity on campus in the future. In addition, the SEE programme wants to increase awareness of what can be seen on campus and generate interest of students and employees to become active in this. If you are interested, please contact the KNNV or send a mail to sustainability@utwente.nl.
