OoCCT-leads as new board members for EUROoCS

As of 1 July 2023, the European Organ-on-Chip Society (EUROoCS) welcomes a new chair and board members.

Both scientific leads of the Organ-on-Chip Centre Twente are now on the board for EUROoCS.

Dr. Andries van der Meer, PI in the department of Applies Stem Cell Technologies, becomes chair of the society for the next two years. In the past two years he has been vice-chair.

With this appointment I am looking forward to further the collaboration and development on Organ-on-Chip research in Europe. Exciting times are ahead and I can’t wait to face them together with this group of amazing people in our society.

Dr. Liliana Moreira Teixeira, PI in the department of Advanced Organ bioengineering and Therapeutics, was elected as board member.

I am excited to have been elected by our EUROoCS members as new board member and am looking forward to engage in this society on a next level.

The EUROoCS board now contains three members from the University of Twente. With the new roles of Andries and Liliana in the board, the OoCCT and EUROoCS will collaborate more intensively in the coming years.

In addition, Heleen Goosen-Middelkamp, now PhD student at UTwente BIOS Lab-on-a-Chip group, will start as support coordinator for EUROoCS as of August.
