Application and Admission

Who is it for?

The track is aimed at UT Master’s students who are in the top 10% of their class. Otherwise excellent and interested Master’s students are also welcome to apply. Furthermore, your prospective Q4 should be devoted to either your graduation work or any other challenging project (to be understood in a broad sense) to which you provide a substantial contribution. See the Programme for more information on this final project.

Costs

All Honours programme tracks are free of charge for UT students.

Admission and selection

If you would like to be considered for the programme, you must submit a letter of motivation along with your CV and relevant academic transcripts as soon as possible. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page with the required information. The selection committee will then decide whether to accept you and/or invite you for an interview; you may also first contact Dr. Desirée van Dun or Dr. Lara Carminati with any questions you may have. The committee usually announces its acceptance decisions by mid-October. Note that we annually accept a maximum of 25 excellent UT Master students from all the various Master of Science programmes the UT offers. For this year, the application deadline has been set for the 5th of November 2023, 23:59.

application

If you wish to follow this programme, send in your application materials which must include: 1) your CV; 2) your motivation letter, and 3) a track record (SVO) of your (UT) course history. The selection committee will decide whether to invite you for an interview based on your written documents. The committee will announce its decision roughly one week after this interview.

Continuous applications are accepted, on a first-come, first-served basis; each year's programme starts at the beginning of Q2. We will host an information lunch for potentially interested students.
