How to register?

Bachelor's students
Register for study units
To be able to participate in the education within the module, you need to register in advance. Register for a module via Osiris until Wednesday before the module starts. Please check the relevant registration periods for courses on top of this page. Once you have enrolled, you are registered for the education to follow, for Canvas and the corresponding test(s).
Please note:
When you are registered for a study unit, you are automatically registered for the first test opportunity and the resit.
Once you obtain a sufficient grade for the first test opportunity, you will be automatically de-registered from the resit. If you still wish to take the resit, you will have to register for the resit again (see 'Register for exams only').
Bachelor's students can register themselves for modules/study units in Osiris Student. To register yourself for a (part of a) module go to: 'Enrol > Exam Component (via Progress)'.
If you can not find a specific study unit via 'Exam Component', please use 'Enrol > Course'.
'Enrol > Exam Component (via Progress)' (Modules)
Register for a module via 'Enrol > Exam Component (via Progress)':
Log in on ‘Osiris Student’ (use your UT log in)
Go to ‘Enrol’
Click on ‘Exam Component (via Progress)’
Click on 'Courses to be completed'
Click on ‘Enrol' next to the specific module, you wish to enrol for
Select all courses
Click on 'Confirm enrolment' in the 'next' screen
You are now registered for the study units (including instructional modes and the test opportunities) which are part of that module.
'Enrol > Course' (Study Units)
Register for study units via 'Enrol > Course':
Log in on ‘Osiris Student’ (use your UT log in)
Go to ‘Enrol’
Click on ‘Course’
Search for a course name / course code, or make use of the filters on the left side
Click on the course you want to follow
Click on 'Confirm enrolment' in the 'next' screen
De-register from study units
If you are registered for a module and decide not to take the module in question, you can de-register via 'Enrol > Show my enrolments' until the start of the exam period.
Please note
When you are registered for a study unit, you are automatically registered for the first test opportunity and the resit.
Once you obtain a sufficient grade for the first test opportunity, you will be automatically de-registered from the resit. If you still wish to take the resit, you will have to register for the resit again.
(Pre-)Master's students
Register for study units
To be able to participate in the education, you need to register for the courses you want to take. This is possible until Wednesday before the start of the quartile via Osiris for the course(s) in question. Please check the relevant registration periods for courses on top of this page. Once you have registered for a course, you will automatically be registered in Canvas, for work formats and the test(s).

2. Go to ‘Enrol’
3. Click on ‘Course’
4. Search for a course name/course code, or make use of the filters on the left side
5. Click on the course you want to follow
6. Click on 'Confirm enrolment' in the 'next' screen

Go to ‘Enrol'
Click on 'Test'
Search a course, to enrol yourself for a test opportunity
Select the test you want to enrol for
Click on 'Confirm enrolment' in the 'next' screen
* Registration for an exam is open from 40 to 14 calendar days prior to the exam date.

4. Search for a course name / course code, or make use of the filters on the left side
5. Click on the course you want to follow

UCT ATLAS students can register for study units via 'Enrol > Course' in Osiris Student. Follow the steps below to register for study units:

1. Log in on ‘Osiris Student’ (use your UT log in)
2. Go to ‘Enrol’
3. Click on ‘Course’
4. Search for a course name / course code, or make use of the filters on the left side
5. Click on the course you want to follow
6. Click on 'Confirm enrolment' in the 'next' screen

About modules

There are different types of modules: integrated, coherent, and mixed modules.

Integrated module: The module consists of 1 study unit (course code) of 15 EC. There will be one final result for the study unit. The EC will be awarded when the whole study unit has been completed.

Integrated module (schematically)

Coherent module: The module consists of multiple study units (course codes), with a total amount of 15 EC. There will be a final result per study unit. The EC for a study unit will be awarded when that study unit has been completed.

Coherent module (schematically)

Mixed module: The module consists of multiple study units (course codes), with a total amount of 15 EC. One of the study units is integrated, this is the largest study unit (highest number of EC) of the module. There will be a final result per study unit. The EC will be awarded when that study unit has been completed.

This photo will be used on your Student Card. More information about the Student Card can be found here.
Please note
Your uploaded photo needs to meet specific conditions:
Only files with the extension '.jpeg' can be uploaded.
The file size may not exceed 200 KB.
The passport photo file requires a width/height ratio of 3:4.
The passport photo file requires a minimum width of 200 pixels.
The passport photo should bear close resemblance.
Update your study address
At the menu 'Contact details' in Osiris Student you can find your study adress known by the UT. To update this address, please go to Studielink (www.studielink.nl).
