We are very proud to announce that professor Ian Gibson will be the new Scientific Director of Fraunhofer Project Center @ UT Twente from first of July 2018.
From 2013 till recently, Professor Gibson was located at Deakin University in the Faculty of Science Engineering and Building Environment. Last year he received the ‘International Freeform and Additive Manufacturing Excellence (FAME) Award’ which is given annually and every year recognizes one outstanding researcher in the field.
That made him the first Australian-based academic to receive an international lifetime achievement award recognizing his contribution to Additive Manufacturing. With the arrival of professor Gibson we gain even more experience in the field of additive (bio)manufacturing.
We, team members of Fraunhofer Project Center, are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation with professor Gibson!
