On the 13th of March, we hosted an engaging 'writing day' for approximately 40 PhD and postdoc researchers of the DPM department, where we explored the possibilities that AI can offer to support researchers in writing.
A huge thank you to our guest speakers for the invaluable insights:
- Professor Sebastian Thiede discussed the reviewing process for academic publications and shared the journal perspective on the responsible use of AI in writing;
- Johannes Dahlke led an interactive session on how and when to use generative AI system as support tools for academic writing;
- Luuk van Ewijk and Samuel Mok information specialists at University of Twente, guided PhD and postdoc researchers through the application of AI in searching and analyzing scientific information;
- Casper de Jong an expert in AI and education, hosted a hands-on workshop on the ethical and effective use of AI transform diverse data types into content tailored for different audiences.
