We develop and interface robotic technologies with the neuromuscular system, ultimately for enhancing human movement. The Chair of Neuromuscular Robotics was funded on May 2024 and currently includes 3 research labs associated to a specific principal investigator:
- Prof. Massimo Sartori. Acting as Head of Chair as well as directing the NEUBOTICS Lab: Neuromechanics and Neuromuscular Robotics Lab.
- Asst. Prof. Rai MacLean. Directing her own research group.
- Asst. Prof. Irfan Refai. Directing his own lab.
The Chair of Neuromuscular Robotics is part of the Department of Biomechanical Engineering (Faculty of Engineering Technology). The Chair is currently affiliated with the TechMed Center as well as with the Robotics Center.
