Self Driving Challenge

Self Driving Challenge

The Dutch Vehicle Authority (RDW) is responsible for the quality and safety of vehicles on the road in the Netherlands. With the fast developments in the world of especially electric vehicles, they have to adapt to new strategies of evaluating cars. E.g. cars nowadays receive over the air updates that can change their behaviour. RDW has to learn about the weaknesses and possible dangers of these new types of vehicles. This is why they developed the self driving challenge for students of applied universities and universities. In the challenge teams of students develop solutions for self driving vehicles using various sensors like videocameras, lidar etc. The cars have to successfully complete multiple tasks like following a track, rading traffic signs and acting according to them, stopping for crossing pedestrians, parking etc.

Information on the challenge can be found on: https://www.selfdrivingchallenge.nl/

The self driving challenge runs from February to mid-June. If you want to do an assignment (Bachelor's, Master's, Capita Selecta etc.) in this period, feel free to contact :
