Syllas Rangel joins DACS as a PhD student

We are very happy to welcome Syllas Rangel to DACS as a PhD student. Here is what Syllas has to say about himself.

"I am a Brazilian passionate about learning new things. I realized my passion for topics related to information technology (IT) already in elementary school, but it was only in high school that I discovered how fascinating computer networks are. This passion has led me to take a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. There I was introduced to the world of mobile communication systems. Since then, I have been diving deeper and deeper into this fascinating field. In particular, I have been studying the impact of nonlinear power amplifiers on the performance of mobile communication systems, specifically, carrying out in-depth mathematical analysis and developing efficient resource allocation policies. My efforts have been recently reflected in my master's thesis, entitled: "Multiuser Cooperative OFDMA Uplink with Nonlinear Power Amplifiers: Theoretical Characterization and Resource Allocation". Now, I am ready to face new challenges and become a member of the DACS team, with the goal of making current wireless networks more resilient and energy-efficient."
