What makes studying, living, and life in Twente enjoyable?
From June 2 to June 22, 2025, you can share your opinion in the Bruto Twents Geluk survey (Dutch). This annual study looks beyond statistics and asks: how happy do you feel living in Twente?
Filling out the questionnaire takes about 10 minutes, is completely anonymous, and gives you a chance to win a great prize package, including a “Gelukkig is er Twente” sweater. Make your voice heard – your experience matters!
Why this matters
Bruto Twents Geluk focuses on broad prosperity. Not just money or work, but also how you feel in your environment. Think of health, personal development, social connectedness, safety, and balance. All these factors contribute to how enjoyable it is to live and study in Twente.

Students from the minor Sustainable Well-being in a Technological Society at the University of Twente have explored how education can contribute to Bruto Twents Geluk. In this minor, students learn what well-being means and how to measure and improve it – so who better to join the conversation? Their insights align with what we’re already doing and where we want to go:
