Participation@UT: stand as a candidate!

Employee and student participation is highly valued at the University of Twente.  Through co-determination, you have a direct influence on the university's policies, so do your bit and stand for election. You can stand as a candidate until 17 April 2024, 17:00 at the latest.

How do I stand as a candidate?

To stand as a candidate, join one of the existing parties or start a new party with its own list.

You can apply to the University Council or to your own faculty or service council, with a minimum of 1 candidate and a maximum of 15 candidates. The candidacy must be supported by 5 signatures of voters who do not stand as candidates themselves.

If you would like more information about standing for one of the bodies, please use this contact form.

Participation@UT

Different levels within UT have their own form of employee participation: from the democratically elected, organisation-wide University Council to the faculty and service councils. In each of these bodies, you can exert influence in a different way.

Electoral registers

The electoral registers (list of eligible candidates) of the University Council and the various faculty and service councils have now been inspected and approved. Information can be found on the relevant council's website.
