We are excited to let you know that a new series of Running therapy course will start from September 6 at the University of Twente. These sessions will offer you the opportunity to work on your mental health in an active way. Below you will find all the details:
Running therapy
Running therapy is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their mental well-being through exercise. By running or walking, you can recharge yourself and reduce stress symptoms. These sessions are specifically designed for people with persistent physical pain and/or mood disorder symptoms. We know it can be difficult to get moving when you are already feeling mentally or physically fatigued, but it is actually important to start with metered movement at these times.
During the sessions, we will work on incorporating an exercise routine. Changing patterns takes time and perseverance, which is why we offer you the opportunity to do this in a supportive group environment. We also pay attention to recognizing non-verbal communication signals from your body and adjusting accordingly.
After the 8 sessions, there is a possibility to continue running and/or walking in a group, at the same time.
