The smoking ban on our campus has been in effect since March 30th, 2020. As of January 1st 2021, the NVWA has started checking school yards & educational grounds for those who are not abiding to the rule. This means that checks will also take place on UT grounds. Of course, as a university we would prefer to avoid this.
The rule enforcement is based on the existing UT codes of conduct and house rules. We thank everyone - and continue to encourage each other – for speaking to each other in a respectful manner regarding unwanted smoking behavior.
