ET - Industrial Design Engineering

Regarding your background & the subjects of the courses you can choose
Please read this text.

Regarding pre-requisites:
Note that admittance to any module or course is always subject to fulfilment of the pre-requisites of that module or course, which can be found in the course catalogue. If the module information is not yet available for the upcoming academic year, please search under the previous academic year.

Engineering background:
Also note that our programmes in Industrial Design Engineering have more 'engineering' content than a lot of industrial design programmes at other universities. Therefore, the expected pre-knowledge for the modules and courses given below include an extensive amount of 'engineering' and 'mathematical' basic skills. Having just 'design skills' is therefore in general not sufficient as pre-knowledge, even if you are a BSc graduate in Industrial Design.

  • Bachelor level

Below you can find the modules open to Exchange students. In case a module of Industrial Design Engineering is not mentioned below, it means it's not open to Exchange students.

These modules are well-balanced, structured sets of courses created around a theme and need to be taken as a whole. You cannot dropp courses within a module. Even if you've already taken a certain course at your home uni, you need to retake it here if it's part of the module. So choose wisely. Request of dropping a course will not be considered.
The modules consist of 15 ECTS per block. Please therefore select one module per block in your application form.

Additionally, in case you are nominated to a study program related to ET faculty:
    - you are allowed to also take modules from other study programs within the ET faculty
    - you are allowed to take one module from another faculty, if desired.
