At Digital Society Institute, we work on solutions to the problems faced by society today and tomorrow. Digitalisation, in all sorts of shapes and forms, is an important aspect of this. On the one hand, this concerns sustainability in business operations, with digitisation being an important theme. For example, DSI offers facilities and activities to develop digitalisation further.

Centres

The centres below are UT communities uniting researchers over a certain topic. By collaborating under the umbrella of a Centre of Expertise, we strive to be better visible to the outside world and of course to be more efficient in our actions because of the combining of forces and different sub-disciplines.

Center for Brain-Inspired Nano Systems
The Center for Brain-Inspired Nano Systems (BRAINS) was established in 2018, combining core expertise in nanoscience and nanotechnology with expertise from computer science, applied mathematics, artificial intelligence and neuroscience, to lay the scientific foundations for a new generation of powerful, energy-efficient computing hardware.
