In this last episode of the DesignLab Brew season 1: “Does it Apply? Looking into the new DesignLab Approach”, we explore DesignLab’s newest approach to creating responsible technologies, developed by our own research specialist, Cristina Zaga. This approach, Responsible Futuring is built upon the three focus areas of DesignLab: Citizen Science, Responsible Design by working Transdisciplinary. This time we unravel the story of transitioning from Science to Design for Society (S2D4S) to the new Responsible Futuring approach. Cristina also gives some context to this new approach by engaging us in a game of ‘Does it Apply?’, where we look at various situations in which Responsible Futuring may possibly apply.

The DesignLab Brew is born out of our need to reach out to our community and have interesting informal discussions about our experiences. The Designlab as a facility is now either closed or (very) limited in capacity. It's the physical space where conversations about project ideas, and knowledge gained from them, were made.
