In case you've missed it, the Sustainability Series is an event series organised by GreenHub Twente, DesignLab UTwente and SUsTain. It focuses on the role that YOU as an individual can play through various events including panels, interactive discussions and even movie nights!
This year instead of just your impact, we will be focusing on Your Voice. What impact can citizen involvement make? How can you make yourself heard? The events in the series are free and open to all, whether you are an expert or just a beginner.
The Circular Challenge is the grand finale of the Sustainability Series 2021. The challenge will take place physically in DesignLab from 9 am to 5 pm on July 5th and lunch will be provided.
Going around in circles isn’t always a bad thing, especially when it means we reduce our use of raw materials. A circular economy, which the Dutch government has committed to achieving by 2050, is a waste-free economy in which raw materials are used more efficiently (so that fewer are needed), are renewable (or are sustainably produced), and where processes are redesigned to allow for less waste.
It’s going to be a challenge to achieve this across industry sectors, and there’s no time like the present to start working towards it. And that’s why we are delighted to invite you to try your hand at it at a real-life challenge on July 5th, with real-world companies keen on achieving circularity as your clients.
So if you're ready for the challenge and think you can win that prize, sign up!
It is possible to sign up either as a team, with up to 5 people or an individual.
You can find out more about upcoming events on our Facebook events page.
DesignLab organises the Sustainability Series in collaboration with Green Hub Twente and SUsTain. Green Hub Twente is the central point for sustainability knowledge and initiatives at the UT. SUsTain is a student group and platform where students, staff, and local people can discuss and practically apply their efforts in the field of sustainability. We came together to organise this series as we all stand for sustainability, empowering people to do more, and encouraging discussion among students, staff, and citizens alike.
